#8 Shyness

Hello everyone welcome back!!!!!! i hope all of you are doing well and i am so exited to share this blog with all of you.

Shyness, something lots of people deal with, it affects people in many ways. It's a very complicated thing, a mix of stuff you're born with and things that happen to you. While the reasons for being shy can be different from person to person, there are some common things that can help explain why some people are shy.

First of all, your genes, the things you inherit from your family, can make a big difference. Some people might have a sort of natural tendency to be shy, like they're very sensitive to social stuff. And then there's your brain, sometimes it just makes you tell yourself that you are shy when you are not. These brain bits influence your personality and how you react to emotions and situations. But it's not just about your genes and brain.

What happens to you as you grow up matters too. If you've had experiences like overprotective parents, bullying, or getting rejected by friends, that can mess with your self-esteem and how you see yourself. Those situations can lead to social anxiety and shyness as ways to protect yourself from getting hurt again.

Then, there's the culture and society you're in. Some places or groups of people might make you feel the need of being shy, some people will make this seem like if it is a bad thing. What people around you expect and what's considered "normal" can either make shyness more or less common in a group.

Being shy can have a big impact on your life. It can make it harder to make friends, do well at work, and might leave you feeling pretty lonley. But it's important to remember that shyness isn't all bad. Some shy people have special qualities like being extra caring, deep thinkers, or great listeners. In the end, shyness is a mix of things like your genes, life experiences, and the culture around you. Understanding where it comes from and how it affects people is important, so we can create a world where all types of personalities are accepted and valued. Embracing our differences can make our world a better.

Thank you all for reading my blog once again!!!! see you'll next time.

  3. Hello! I really enjoyed this blog. I am very shy and quiet and reading this does help show me where it may be from. My dad is a very quiet man but also a people person, while my mom is very quiet unless she knows you. Growing up, I had more rules so I could see where my social anxiety is coming from. Thank you for this great post!

  4. Hi Dania, I liked reading your perspective on shyness. I agree that it can be caused by many different factors. I am very shy at first until I grow comfortable with new people and settings. I feel like life experiences have the most effect on whether someone is more or less shy.
